The selection process

We liaise closely with employers based in China to ensure they find the ideal candidate.

Marketing

GTI Recruiting Solutions publicises the Programme on its student-facing websites and through direct contact with UK universities. Candidates with appropriate work experience, skills and language proficiency are put forward to apply for the Programme.

Applications

Candidates submit a competency-based application form and copies of their academic transcripts.

Screening

Candidates are screened against the competency-based criteria and indicators identified on the application form. The second stage is taking a telephone interview to assess their language and motivation. The successful candidates are then short-listed for face-to-face interview.

Interviews

GTI Recruiting Solutions’ trained recruitment specialists then interview all short-listed candidates. Each interview is designed to identify candidates' capability levels against standard competencies and employers’ requirements.

Offers

The employer is then invited to interview the short-listed candidates (by telephone, online or by video-conference) and make the final decision. GTI Recruiting Solutions then liaise with employers and graduates to finalise placements and ensure that contracts are agreed prior to the graduates leaving the UK.

Travel and visas

All travel and visa arrangements are managed by GTI Recruiting Solutions’ in-house team.

Arrival and inductions

There are two candidate intakes per year. A Chinese university will deliver a two-week orientation programme to help them prepare for working life in China.
